We love eggnog during the holiday season, and there’s so many variations to make! This recipe uses maple syrup instead of sugar along with condensed milk which is quite sweet.
The spices and warm cozy drink embodies the flavors of the holidays. Eggnog dates back to medieval Britain and the well to do would have enjoyed this beverage as they were able to afford eggs, milk and sherry. Though this does not have any alcohol in it, you could easily add a splash to your drink if you so choose so.
Let’s get started!
Combine egg yolks, maple syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg together. Whisk well. We decided to bake a half batch of eggnog.

Add condensed milk, vanilla and milk. Stir well.

Cook on low for 15 minutes, whisking constantly.

Add cream. Simmer until heated through, about 8 minutes.

Let cool 10 minutes.

Pour into a heat-safe cup to serve warm or serve cold. It’s delicious either way.

Serve with whipped cream and sprinkles.
