Line an 8” pan with parchment paper so it’s easy to remove from pan to cut.
Melt butter, chocolate and marshmallows in a large bowl over top a saucepan of hot water (a double boiler).
Stir until melted.
Remove from heat and cool 2 minutes before stirring in gumdrops.
Pour into pan – it will be quite sticky so use butter if you need to. Refrigerate over night. We made the nougat in the morning, and let it set through the day, and sliced it in the evening.
Cut into small squares. We sliced into long sections first and then into smaller pieces.
Look at all those gumdrops!!
This nougat is chewy and super tasty! It’s so soft! Simple to make and it’s definitely the best nougat I’ve ever had!!
