This homemade pancake syrup is simply delicious and only has 4 ingredients – sugar, water, vanilla and butter. It’s so easy to make homemade syrup free of preservatives, thickening agents, dyes, and other questionable ingredients — plus homemade tastes so much better!
Let’s get started!
Combine sugar, water and vanilla.

Bring to a boil. Boil 4 minutes.

Add butter.

Stir constantly until butter is dissolved.

Let cool for a bit. Serve on pancakes or waffles.

This is one of our favorite pancake syrups!

Pour leftovers into a jar and store in the fridge.

Pancake Butter Syrup
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup butter — less butter works too
