This light, airy and fluffy dessert is a childhood favorite!! Every time I eat it, it’s nostalgic. It’s like eating a strawberry cloud, and oh so tasty — you will want more than one piece!

My mom watched gramma make this scrumptious dessert and we often enjoyed it when we visited. Since my mom learned from gramma, she made it at home too and it’s been a family favorite for over 30 years! I’m sure this dessert has a name to it, but all my grampa ever called it was “Muscle.” I remember one time asking at the dinner table as we enjoyed this airy strawberry cloud, what it was actually called, and between my dad and grampa, they just said, “muscle!!” So I’m calling it Muscle — Whipped Jell-o Dessert!!
Let’s get started!
Put a thin layer of graham crumbs in a 9×13” pan. Set aside.

Mix jello and boiling water together. Stir until dissolved. Chill in fridge until until cool and slightly thickened, but not solidified – it should still be liquidy.
Chill evaporated milk along with the mixing bowl and whisks.
Once the milk is cold, pour into bowl and whip on high until thick and creamy. There will be soft peaks.

While mixer is on, pour jello in slowly.

Keep pouring until all the jello has been mixed in.

Whip until mixed, about 1 to 2 minutes, stopping to scrape sides of bowl. As you can see, I did not do this.

It’s so light, airy and fluffy!!

Pour over crumbs.

Sprinkle the top with graham crumbs. You can use as many crumbs as you like. I don’t like that much, so I don’t use as much. My dad likes lots, so my mom uses a lot of graham crumbs, whereas I just like it for the flavor.

Here it is.

Refrigerate one hour before serving.

This is definitely one of my childhood favorites!
