It’s Week Five of October’s No Grocery Shopping Challenge! This week has been a bit easier since we did a bit of grocery shopping.
The pantry and freezer are looking less packed and the fridge is starting to look bare which is totally fine because that way we can eat up “old” stuff before buying fresh stuff. If you would like to see how we got ready for the challenge, you can read it: here.
This week’s meals have been a lot of leftovers as I have cooked a few large meals using up a bunch of meat and veggies from the freezer. We have also used up a bunch of canned goods too which has been helpful with our meal plan. We also had a mini pumpkin festival at home and have been doing all things pumpkin! So we have had lots of pumpkin goodies, so I was glad for quick reheat of leftovers!
Let’s get to it! Here’s what we had this week!

We will do more grocery shopping this week for more essentials. For November instead of doing one large shop at the end of the month, I was planning on doing weekly shops or shopping every 2 weeks. I haven’t yet decided, but running out of fruit and vegetables makes it hard to eat good wholesome meals. I think having fruits and vegetables is the most important, so we’ll be sure to stock up on that!
It was quite the challenge this month and I’ll share again our monthly meal plans, and challenges with you soon! I hope you enjoyed this series once again as much as I did.
