Let’s get started!
In skillet, add ground beef, taco seasoning, salt and pepper, onion, carrot, jalapeno, and celery.
Cook, stirring occasionally until beef is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.
Taste for seasonings. Add more taco seasoning if needed. Add tomato sauce. Stir well. Cook for 5 minutes.
Yum! We make this often. You can also add corn, mushrooms or bell peppers.
Tonight, we are having Taco Beef on homemade tortillas and here’s our fillings. We made a taco dressing with mayo, plain yogurt (or you can use sour cream) and taco seasoning. So good!
Taco Beef
1 lb ground beef
1 carrot, diced
1 onion, diced
1 celery stalk, diced
1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
1 tsp Taco Seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup tomato sauce
Cook ground beef with carrot, celery, onion, jalapeno, taco seasoning and salt & pepper. Cook until beef is no longer pink and veggies are tender. Add tomato sauce and stir well. Cook about 5 minutes so flavors can meld and the tomato can cook in a bit. Serve with your favorite toppings, tortillas, rice and so on.
