These baked beans are easy to prepare and taste delicious! I grew up eating these at every occasion! I believe the recipe was on the can of Libby’s beans (the large 2kg can) that everyone kept! They’re a family favorite that I make through the year!
I wrote the recipe down off the label my mom kept, so I would have it later and could make them whenever I wanted to, and placed it in my recipe box that I have had since I was grade 8!
Let’s get started!
Here’s the original recipe I write down:

Toss beans into casserole dish. Add ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, onion and green pepper.

Stir well.

Bake at 350F for about 2 hours. Stir every once in a while – I usually stir every 45 minutes.

I cook until the beans are browned and thickened.

For a small batch:
2 – 398ml cans of pork & beans
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp mustard
3 tbsp ketchup
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, diced
Mix altogether. Bake at 350F for 2 to 3 hours or until dark, caramelized and browned.
